I had to walk through Sears to get to the mall yesterday.

I realized that all Sears stores look the same.
I also realized that they have exactly the same vibe as last time I was in one in 1987.

I couldn’t pass up getting one of the 1955 Grape Nuts boxes when I saw it last night, although I’d never had that cereal before today.

Unfortunately I’m cat-sitting and those critters would not leave me alone during breakfast. I guess it does look rather Meow Mix-ish, eh?

Gee, it’s hard to post much of anything with 12-14 hour days, little to no internet access, and my usual laptop with all my music and photos out of commission. :-p Anyway, here’s another great gypsy jazz tune, Jo Privat’s rendition of “Les yeux noirs”, a.k.a., classic folk tune “Otchi Tchornye”, a.k.a “Dark Eyes”. This song has been recorded a million times and used in old movies and everything else. Royalty-free songs are nice, eh?
